Herbert Hoover High School first opened its doors in
September 1963. Only starting to integrate the 9th grade in the class year of 1992-1993. Through all these years however- Herbert Hoover would only begin to excel academically in recent times, originally being one of the worst academically achieving schools in the state, as of 2022 we are the 6th best overall school in the state. Herbert Hoover High School would continue to have classes in the Clendenin school until 2016 when the school would flood beyond repair.
